Statement of Aims

Loyalist Political Education is a website that aims to encourage Loyalist political development. The website aims to provide a political perspective and stimulate new ideas, concepts and political perspectives grounded and based upon the foundation of Loyalist political ideas and beliefs. Also, this website is in part an attempt to provide the ideational structure that our education system never provided to the working-class Loyalist community. The only people who benefit from 're-active' and apolitical Loyalism are the powers that be, the economic tendency, those who wish to use Loyalism as their own instrument of political intrigue and our many enemies within Irish Nationalism.

There is already existing a number of political texts providing Loyalist political insights into society and the social conflict within our society. It is the aim of this website to build upon such ideas where possible but also to provide new insights and ideas that will hopefully provide in time a full and systematic account of the fault lines within society, how such 'faults' might be addressed and what sort of society we would like to see in existence and the arrangements that would be put in place to structure the social totality.

To this end we welcome contributions that will help to develop Loyalist political thinking in a progressive manner. It is doubtful that Loyalism will ever develop a consensus with regard to ideology and whether or not this is even desirable is open to debate. This website will, however, promote a view of Loyalism and makes no apologies for excluding other views that are thought not to be helpful with regard to the concept of political development.

One of the greatest challenges that Loyalism faces, in the political arena, is to promote and articulate a Loyalist political perspective that can not only gain the agreement of those elements within our own society who are not convinced of the ability of Loyalism as a political ideology but also to gain credence and support within the international arena.
